Excel is the preferred spreadsheet software to learn in the business world. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, analyst, accountant, or you’re just looking to improve your job prospects, learning excel is an important skill to have on your resume. Learning to use Microsoft Excel can make you a valuable asset in the workplace and can probably fetch you a couple of dollars as a side gig on Fiverr at the least. Microsoft Excel may seem complicated at first glance and maybe a little intimidating too but by the time you get through with these courses you’ll be able to build tables, create spreadsheets, make financial functions, and design advanced formulas that would make you the Microsoft Excel guru of your office. Whether you’re at beginner level you and want Microsoft Excel help or you’re looking to build upon the skills you may already have, I’m sure these Coursera excel training courses will be highly beneficial.
What is Coursera?
Coursera provides a unique experience for online learners to learn valuable skills from some of the most highly coveted schools in the world. Each of these skills is designed in a packaged form called specializations. Each specialization is a series of courses designed to help you master an overall skill. You can choose to take an individual course within a specialization, or you can continue and complete the entire specialization. To earn a certificate for a course you’ve taken, Coursera awards certificates or as low as $49 per class depending on the specialization.
So…How is it free?
While earning a certificate and being able to show this to potential employers may be helpful, you can also choose to take the course without receiving a certificate. This is considered auditing the course. Auditing the course is entirely free; however, you will not be able to submit assignments for feedback or grade, and you won’t receive a certificate. Also, not all courses offered on the Coursera platform can be audited (but a lot can); therefore, you may choose to take the course by another method provided. Auditing the course is a great way to learn highly sought-after skills in a well-structured class, leveraging the online technology Coursera has to offer and just think, you don’t even have to go to college to acquire a highly coveted skill.
